Is the artistic attitude anti-therapeutical?

The artistic attitude is in some ways a form of anti-therapy. When the person is feeling neurotic, instead of looking for a way to counterbalance its condition in order to comeback to the "equilibrium of sanity" his choice, as much as a good artist, is to accurately diagnose and pull himself  deeper into the neurotic spiral. If is feeling paranoid, he looks for Kafka rather than look for the company of people. The artistic attitude becomes a pendulum avoiding equilibrium with a determination only comparable to that of normal people looking for stability. An artist is the one who eagerly absorbs the energy that normal people release as they try to get into emotional equilibrium.
